If you want to be a sports business version of a utility infielder, you shouldn’t waste your time reading the rest of this job description. To become a superstar with teams, you need to first know that it all starts with tickets.
Tickets are the lifeblood of sports. So, we start our people on our lifeblood—remember, that’s tickets. We don’t give you the phone book and tell you to go sell. Our philosophy is train, train, train, and when we get tired of that, we train some more. Our goal is to accelerate your growth as fast as we can. You see, we want you to get better quicker to so the impact of your contribution can be felt across our organization.
We like to fill positions in our organization with people that have learned our sales methodology. We’ll train you, we’ll encourage you to become successful, and then we’ll look for you to do the same with recruits across the organization.
This position will be selling tickets, including group game or event tickets, and packages. We don’t expect that you’ll know how to sell our ticket offerings, so we provide training starting with how to help the decision maker select which is best for them.
Do you want to be a superstar in sports business? That’s the first qualification. If you answered yes, then answer two more questions: (1) Do you have a strong work ethic? and (2) Do you have a desire to learn and excel?
You should have strong communication skills (you have to talk to people), and a willingness to listen and learn. If you don’t have sales experience, don’t worry about it because we don’t worry about it.
You’ll make a base salary plus commissions.
